To expand the science of neurorehabilitation and our understanding of neuroplasticity, the BRRC serves as a nexus for scientists with wide-ranging expertise in neurology, neuroscience, neurorehabilitation, medicine, and physiology; occupational therapy, physical therapy, kinesiology, and speech therapy; psychology and health psychology; bioengineering, communication sciences, and computer programming. Each of these disciplines makes a unique contribution to understanding normal function and potential pathways to restore function impaired by neurologic injury or disease.
Most BRRC investigators also have positions at the University of Florida (UF), which is the university affiliate of the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center. Where applicable, a link to investigators' UF information is included (@ UF).
